I wonder if you could do these in a crock pot with raw ingredients?

        Need some help

Just made a large foil pan of these in preparation for Thanksgiving. Question I have for anyone who has made these is, how deep should the water be around a single layer of rolls? Just some, or all the way to the top?
        HELP!

Add water that was used to boil the cabbage so that the top row of rolls is touching water.

I'd never tried this til I remodeled a bathroom for a polish chuck and she gave me some to try, I like cabbage but it sounds so unapealing .
I was pleasantly surprised . Was awsum.

Yup---Like "Shellbellc" said, Around here we call them "Halupkis".

I've had them many times from 3 different old ladies. One was Hungarian, one was Polish, and one was Ukrainian. I get the 3 mixed up, as to which was which, but I liked the ones with the tomato sauce (I think Hunky ones) better than the ones with kraut. Since these old ladies have been dying off on me, my DIL learned how to make them. It took her about 6 months to get them right, but I was her tester, and they are now the best I ever had.
