Below is what works for me. The dust & pellets I get from Todd is usually nice & dry.
I keep it that way by putting it all in jugs I save just for that. I never had to Nuke or dry my dust or pellets in any way.

Probably get more smoke if you put more dust in.
Should be able to fill it pretty much to the top, I would think.
Plus if you're only running for 3 hours light both ends for double the smoke :-) (looks at pic again - oh yeah you did that)

Regardless of the container I have found that placing the dust on a papper plate with a papper towel on bottom and on top of the dust and nuking it for at least 45 seconds is the best way to remove moisture and gaurantee a full burn.Smoke it.. and they will come!
