  • Brain fart gone right...DO try this at home...

OK...After last weekends party I had some ribs that I was sure werent done enough to serve...Never even sliced them...only served the ones that were done right...right?...Well in my messed up mind I had this stuff rollin around...How to reheat them and also get them to a doneness that wouldnt suck...You get the picture...

Well I turned to a smokin hot grill...No Weber here... but I love what the super heated cast iron grates on the Chargriller can do...

Started the grill and threw on some thick slices of fresh pineapple...some of them dusted on each side with chipotle powder...guess which ones are mine

Then I added the ribs...sliced into individual ribs....in case you didnt notice...

    A quick HOT sear...

From this point I lower the heat somewhat and....Well from here its sauce and turn...sauce and turn...sauce and turn...The sauce is my Carolina Mustard sauce mixed 50/50 with beer...

And a FREAKING good lookin plate....Served with some black eyes and green beans...and the grilled chipotle pineapple....

This worked...brought ribs that werent done into the world of...Hell Yeah!...

    Ill do this again...

Wow, looks great. I think ya done good.

If you ever work yourself into that spot again, got another idea for ya. Slice the meat off the ribs and then into chunks. Make some chili. Saw it mentioned on here several months back. I did it and it was great chili.

Ya know, you may be on to something here. The hot sear would definitely give them another taste dimension. I must remember this on the next rack.

Definately on the to do again list...
If I ever end up with less than done ribs...

Not sure if I would say this is leftovers..?? Can't be... They were never done.. You could have gone the easy route.. leave foiled and re-heat in the oven or grill to finish.. Oh Hell No!!! You slice and grill them..I like the way you think..

                OK... Points from Ol' T-H..

Job well done on saving some ribs...

I'm thinking purposely undercook them, just a couple hours so they get some good smoked then slice and sauce and turn, sauce and turn. Treating them almost like one would when making burnt ends.

Your gonna have to come up with a name for these newly founded creations.

I got it. "Brain Fart Smoke Sticks" LOL
