Well, I made some Yakisoba last night for dinner. I first had it years ago when I was in Okinawa while in the Marine Corps. I loved the stuff.
I have kind of an ameicanized recipe that works very well. The noodles are boiled but the meal is cooked in a CI wok.
For this meal, I got a little creative. Instead of chicken, I substituted shrimp and smoked sirloin steak. For the shrimp, I used our favorite shrimp recipe that is cooked in CI. I used a 1/2 # of shrimp rather than a full pound but the sauce was per the recipe with the intent of pouring it all into the noodles and veggies. Here's the recipe I used on the shrimp:

As for the steak, I used 1/2 # of smoked sirloin that was thinly sliced. I mixed a little Asian type sauce I made and lightly cooked the steak in a little oil in the wok. This is the recipe where the steak came from:

So, the veggies were cabbage, onion, carrots, broccoli, some ginger along with the noodles, some sesame oil and some more of the Asian sauce. I cooked everything, less the shrimp, in the CI Wok for about 10-15 minutes until the veggies got the right consistency. Then I added the spicy shrimp and sauce from the CI pan and mixed it up.
Then, dinner was served:
It makes a lot of food. My youngest went back for thirds. He went back for fourths just before bedtime and finished up the last this morning after his basketball game. So, all in all, it was a hit.
Thanks for looking.
