  • Western smoker build starting Tomorrow, can't wait myself....

I am starting a new upright insulated reverse flow cabinet smoker, with a stoker controller. We will be selling these and if you are interested please let me know. I will post pics tomorrow afternoon on how far we get. We are back and bigger and better then ever!!!!!

I have a couple tweaks I have done to make the builds even better. We are going to customize a lot more then before with all the accessories, so follow along and get one ordered......

Good deal, I was waiting for you to get back in the saddle.

The price of steel is still out of sight. I hope you have a good source for surplus or seconds.

Well we got started today on the inside skin and braking all the metal we could at this point. We should have more done this week to post. The stoker arrived for this build also. Should be a great addition to make smoking even easier on this one.

Well it's taking a little bit, schedules keep getting in the way. But some progress got done this weekend. Got the plate that separates the firebox/cooking chamber CNC'd and the smoke channels in. More to come later happy smoking! I'm praying this negative degree weather stops next week so life can get back to norm.

                        More Details Please!

What gauge will the skins be?
                        What are the overall dimensions?
What prompted these overall dimensions, efficiency of material use, or desired cooking rack dimensions?

What will you use for insulation?

I used insulation from an oven about to be scrapped, 'cause I am a cheapskate

                        Keep us updated!

What will you use for insulation?kaowool insulation, this one is getting 1 1/2" but all others will get 1" (pricing was the reason but we found a good outlet for 1". if you believe it we found cheap 1 1/2" insulation before we found a good outlet for 1" insulation, which works great. I have used that on all my other builds

Just a FYI, we can also offer pellet auger fed smokers as well. We haven't decided to build one yet but we may possibly in the future just for shits and giggles
