  • Cooking Bacon all night long with the Sous Vide

So I just got my new Sous Vide machine, and boy do I love it! I have made some New York Steaks, Pork Chops, and Chicken Breasts, and everything has turned out juicy and delicious.

I decided for my first video to feature something easy, store bought bacon. This method of cooking store bought bacon guarantees a consistency and flavor that usually cannot be duplicated by frying alone. If you haven't tried it I highly recommend!

Interesting, I may have to give that a shot next time we start up the bacon wrap machine for the crowd.

It looks good, but for large groups, rather than all that trouble of Sous Videing all night and then still having to fry small batches.
I would lay out the uncooked bacon on a cooking racks placed in cookie sheet pans and cook it in large batches in the oven. This way I can cook 4 pounds of bacon at a time. Seems easier to me and I can do more bacon at one time for a large crowd than I can frying in small batches

I've done this before for ABT's that I want to cook quick so as to not melt the contents but and not have to worry bout the bacon being cooked. Works Great!

              But in vac bags.

We do this a lot at the Country Store. Works like a charm.

Hard to beat oven bacon........so water bathing just makes the bacon crisp up quicker?
