Looking forward to seeing the guys of Capn' & Smoke again. Been wanting to make that comp for a few years now. Finally got the chance.

I bet. That thread made me second guess entering an amateur comp on Saturday. Still debating.

This is great news. I think this may be one of the long weekends we're taking this Fall. I'll have to look into area campgrounds to see if we can get a spot.

Are they any campgrounds/rv parks within walking distance of this event?

Several. Private places and a state park. All within 1/4 mile or so. No more than 4-5 min walk.

Jellystone Park, Silver Sands, Sandy Shores, and the state park on Silver Lake Rd. The bbq comp site is across the street from Dunes Waterfront Resort.

Thanx Geoff. Sandy shores looks like the closest one. I haven't visited a comp since you guys were at the Fenton (I think)comp. This looks like a fun weekend.
