I'm doing fine, The news as of late has not been what I was hoping for, but we press on, cuzz we must!
I am toosing this lil comp around in my head. I surely want to go. I like to play with the folks and have our normal amount of laughs and fun. Rich has tentatively planned to be the chief cook on this one, with the Lang as our cooking machine.I will be the assistant this time, and smoke tender. I will send in our entry next week as soon as I am positive I will be able to make the date!

After this week's disappointing rib burn Bubba, I found out that I need to tune up my rub recipe and play with cooking times before I do comp. I also need to put in a baffle and some tuning plates on my Brinkmann Smoke 'N Pit w/SFB because it runs way too hot near the FB and I can only use half of the cooking space. If I'm going to compete with you dudes I gotta have my act together first.

                  Dan,
The news as of late has not been what I was hoping for
That's not what I was hoping to hear either. I had such a good time at Mt. Morris meeting you and Rich and I'm hoping that sometime when I get my smoker tuned or a new one built to compete against you two.
Here's hoping that the Drs. can get you back to good health.

I'll keep you in my prayers Buddy.

Me and the wife will probably pay another visit. She still talks about Mt Morris.

Keep the faith Dan, our prayers are with you everyday.

Something tells me they wouldn't be willing to part with a full one.

This event is alot more public friendly. We are not so strapped for time at turn in time, and if you are near our tent when the bones come off the pit, I am almost positive you will be forced to taste and give some honest input. We do get to speak with alot of folks who are asking questions. It was alot of fun last year. I hope they at least tell the public that we cannot sell ribs if we are in the contest. Let Bubba sell his to them, he is all geared up for that. As many folks who wanted to but ribs last year, I bet he can sell a chitload of ribs.
