  • Chuck roast recipes

Out of my top 5 favorite sandwiches 2 revolve around dipping bread into somesort of a stock, the french dip and Chicago Italian beef. I was thinking of doing something similar with a chuck roast.Does anyone one have a recipe?

I used a different cut, and my instant pot. But sub in your chuck roast and a smoker.

Sear the crap outta it then braise. Screaming hot charcoal is preferred, a also screaming hot CI pan would not be outta place. Hell, if ya got 2, get both hot. No recover time for the other side sear :) Use beer. Rosemary, thyme onion, CBP. Make that a GOOD beer. And NOT an IPA at least :D Newcastle brown is a good choice. A touch of red wine is interesting. You can add some of the pickled peppers for the Italian. Add some bullion/stock etc. Account for salt in that dep’t.

I make a brine for beef as well as a rub. Either or both are kinda suited to what you seek. But shipping sux. I’d offer samples but yer outta country, correct?

I have decided as a have so much leftover turkey and the weather here is wet and shitty right now that i will christen the new smoker with a shredded turkey chili.Nothing like a hot bowl of chili on a miserable day.

Hahaha.Work gets me a massive turkey every year and there is only 2 of us so i end up with zippy bags full of Turkey.
I might make a tray of mac and cheese to go with it.
