      congrats, nice buy.

as for seasoning a WSM? never heard of it done before, everyone I know that owns one just assembled it & ran it right out of the box.
Just because you welded some shit together doesnt make it a WSM.

They say seasoning is not required but I cooked fatty foods in mine the first three or four cooks. Fatties, chicken, ribs, etc.

The 14.5" will be the spiral sliced ham warmer and the 22.5" will be for the big 22lb T bird.

Nice, my thermo is short by about 25* pretty consistent. I'll cook without the maverick on some things like ribs or high temp brisket since it stays about 25 off. That mini is cool as heck. I ddin't even know they were making them until you posted.

Cooking up a bunch of bacon to flavor it (suggestion above) is highly recommended!!

The 14.5" is for the RV while the 22.5" has Big Deck duty.

I have the 18.5 model and am in the process of building a Mini Version of the WSM using a steamer pot and my Weber Smokey Joe Gold grill.

Saw the build on another sight and had to have one...From what I understand works as well as any Smokey Mountain and it's a cute little thing!

I have seen a number of "builds" that I was thinking about.

Waiting to nab an older smokey joe that has 3 vents from my kid. The the build will start.

                            Keep us updated.
