This is so cool. when TSHTF this might be a great thing to have in the inventory. Or if you live in the constant path of the hurry canes. and hot days, to cook out doors on the patios. Fish could get rid of that crap around the poles on his patio ezy peazy.lol. and have great chow to serve.

Yes, Not cheap at all. The price of steel has gone up so much. as everything else seems to have. I think if you had the skills and tools to make one of these and pimp it up some. the cost would rise to almost double getting just the material. normally sold by the sheets. then all the left over scrap metal. I think it would be great for a retreat area or anything I guess. just have to purchase pallets of Pam to spray on her when not in use. or the dreaded metal eaters would take over in short notice.

I live in Tulsa. Hasty Bake is just a few miles from my house. They make a quality build but are overrated in my opinion.

They stated Bertha is being made from Corten weathering steel. Basically the steel rusts on the surface creating a protective barrier. I helped a friend make some massive 30’ long planters for a downtown office building from Corten. From what he tells me, the rusting process takes almost a year to become uniform
