OK Pig....Couldn't stand it. Copied the recipe to my recipe folder then went right into the kitchen and whipped it up. It is baking now. Don't care for coffee so made with water. Was going to put some raisins in but decided to wait til the second try for that. Pics of the finished product to follow. Thanks. Man was that easy.

OK...what are your suggestions for making this cake vanilla instead of chocolate. My thoughts were to delete the 1/2 cup cocoa and 1/2 cup water and add a 3.4oz package of vanilla instant pudding. Just guessing here any thoughts??

I would say leave the water, it helps pull it all together. Just substitute the pudding for the cocoa and see what happens. If that works then any flavor of pudding mix should work.

Let us know if you try this ... worst thing that happens is you make mush.

Okay here's the scoop for the vanilla style cake. Yes it works. Delete the cocoa and add the pudding mix. Keep the water the same and just follow the directions. The vanilla pudding made it come out very moist and tastey.

Given this piece of info I would say that you can substitute any flavor of pudding for the vanilla. The wife wants to try bannaa creme and cheese cake too.

I am not a coffee drinker myself, but when my wife decides she wants to make this stuff I am usually one of the first people at the deserts. I love this stuff. Imagine that, a cop who likes cakes and donuts, who would have thought.

We usually don't add the coffee. If you don't care for coffee as the wife doesn't, then leave it out. We've also used pudding mixes in it and it comes out OUTSTANDING.

Too easy to make to not give it a try.

Looks very good. Pudding always makes cakes good. I put it in my red velvet cakes. Makes them extremely moist.
