  • Fried Apples

Lady that works for me owned several Southern Restaurants in Kentucky and Florida. She knows how to cook. Once in awhile I learn something.

Take old Apples the kind that have been in the fridge too long, slice them and soak them in water with a little lemon or lime juice. Leave the skin on. Then fry them in butter with brown sugar and cinnamon Serve them with ice cream on top.

    Good stuff.

I like to cut one in half and scoop out the seeds & core stuff and put some pieces of butter on it and sprinkle it with cinnamon sugar, heavily, more butter on top and put it inn the kettle grill with some smoke at about 400 for 1/2 hour. It is wonderful.

Sounds great. Reminds me of a desert my Dad made when we were kids. He called his candied apples, going to have to ask him how he did them.
