I have not tried it but It in my project plan. I scored a new old stock 22 inch farm disk that was made in Austraila (real steal) for my base. I like the sides. Mine will also have a little chute off the side to either dump stull on before entering the pan or a place to put stuff and let oil drain off .

several of the mexican food stores have them and the rocket cookers. when they come in they sell fast. I have ones I made of of border plow disc. and old horse shoes and use the Big kahuna to set them on. Torres welding got a contract from Bud to make these for pic quic as prizes. they made a lot and had a nunch of xtra's. Chance (foreman)is a bud and got me a deal on 4 of them. gave each of the kids one and I have one that is in the shed.

like '88 i gots too much chit...............i have a like a ''30 wok that i use on a turkey fryer burner. i like this cuz the base is raised and adjustable height feature.
