Walle...you so crazy!!!
Well fellas, we roasted our first batch of anaheims today, so we had rellenos for dinner. I've had these just about every way you can have them, and just got a crazy thought today....relleno tamale!!! Well, I don't know how to make a tamale, but the Mrs's has a kick ass corn bread recipe, so that's what we did, a corn bread dipped chile relleno smothered in the Mrs secret sauce (one big can of Las Palmas green enchilada sauce and one regular can of cream of chicken)
This was pretty damn good - I love the crunch of corn meal, and the corn bread taste with a good fresh green chile stuffed with sharp cheddar and onions, OH MY!
On to the show!
Chiles

Good chiles this year - the majority were home-wreckers just like this one!

Rellenos - I've found that if you flash freeze them once they are stuffed, they are much easier to bread and fry. Ended up just about doubling the amount of liquid for the corn bread recipe - you want it just thick enough to run off.

And my dinner!!

Thanks for checking out my relleno experiment. Give it a whirl!
