  • Liver pate'

    1 pound Braunshwiger (sp?)
    8 Oz Cream cheese
    1 teaspoon mustard seed
    2 Oz fine diced white onion
    2 Oz fine diced celery
    Salt to taste
    1 teaspoon CBP

    Run thru a processor, allow to mellow a day in the fridge.

    Yum.

    Variations welcome!

      Rich, you only missed an E (BraunschwEiger)

      Grew up on this stuff and still buy it, some call it liverwurst. We make sandwiches with it using raw onion, spicy mustard, and add some cheese if you want to. Personally I like it on rye bread. Serve it with your favorite pickles of course. Good stuff!

      Like the pate' recipe and will definitely give it a shot. Always have Philly cream cheese on hand, it's a staple around here obviously.
      Lang 36 Patio, a few Webers, 2 Eggs, plenty of gadgets and a MES 40 Gen 2.5 electric for bacon and sausage.
      My best asset however is the inspiration from the members on this forum.

                Cool Rich I'll have to give it a try.
                We use to do one that was half chicken liver, half bacon, onion and mayo...spread it on some Ritz.....
                Damn there goes the diet.
