  • French Dip Sandwiches

Over the holiday weekend I smoked/seared a chunk of roast beef. I sliced, Vac-Sealed, and froze most for later use. I saved some for these sandwiches

Sliced and ready for makin' french dips

I mixed the saved Au Jus with French Onion soup for dippin'

    Smoked Provolone

    Pepperoncini (Greek) Peppers

    Rolls for the sandwiches

Roll with Au Jus slathered on top, beef dipped in Jus, then on the bun, topped with some peppers

Topped with cheese, now onto a baking sheet to melt the cheese under the broiler

Plated with Au Jus. Ready to eat

    Closer view

    Thanks for lookin'
    Jim

Great looking sandwich makes me hungry and it's still over an hour until lunch. What cut of beef did you use to make them.

The French onion soup was actually mixed with the pan juices I saved from the cook. Kind of a blend of flavors.

Bottom round was on sale. So it's what I used.
