  • Asian Shrimp burger on a bed of tomato and slaw

Made up some shrimp burgers topped with a cilantro cream sauce and put them on a slice of fresh beefsteak tomato and fresh slaw. Added a side of mac salad. Have to say pretty tasty.

Recipe as follows.. I did 1.5 times

Here is what you will need. I run all this through the food processor.
    1 pound raw shrimp
    1/4 cup red bell pepper,
    1/4 cup chopped onion
    1/4 chopped cilantro
    1/4 cup panko
    2 tbsp. lite mayo
    1/2 tsp garlic
    1/2 tsp ginger fresh
    1 tsp cholula

My mom used to make salmon croquettes. I assume its similar? Seems like I'd be dumping hot sauce all over a couple of those. Interesting recipe. Maybe the hurricane will blow a few gulf shrimp up into Oklahoma!

Looks great! I love stuff like that & make similar with chicken quite often & salmon/steelhead & white flesh fish. I bet shrimp is equally or mo better

I tried some of those a few years ago and didn't come anywhere near the way yours did!

Did you head them, peel them and de-vein them first? Do you peel the meat out of the tail segment? Were you using prawns or shrimp?

I'll bet it's good but around here it's a sin to do that to a shrimp unless you're making chum.

Been doing that all my life for shrimp stew, gumbo or etouffee. Been known to make a burger or two like that as well. Every Cracker I know does it, nothin wrong with it!
