Been looking at these things (the original plywood box) for awhile... Kinda stood back because of, in my mind, the longevity of the wood question... is it gonna last? (Jeezus, don't go there... they make pills for that.) I like the new improved version... and yes, the price tag is somewhat elevated... butt the original design reportedly worked great.

Dunno. Gotta see where me balls and wallet collide. I've recently been lusting after the Meadow Creek pig cooker...

      Drinks well with others

I was really on the hunt for one of these awhile back but now my lust has turned to a Santa Maria grill. I think I may give my daughter and my future son in law one of these for their wedding gift this summer.

Tricky way to get one in the family and have it handy when I want to use it...

Edit to add: They go through alot of charcoal up to 25lbs per cook if you read their instructions for just ribs. Seeing as how the heat source is seperated from the meat ie., what you are using for fuel is a heat source only and has nothing to do with flavoring the food I would get a burn barrel and find some scrap wood to use for the coal source.

I may need a bigger barrel.
