LongHorn Steakhouse

Was in Fargo, ND last weekend had the opportunity to eat at a new steakhouse to the area called LongHorn Steakhouse with my wife and oldest son. We ordered sirloin's and flat iron steaks which were cooked perfectly to order, plus the taste and quality of the steaks were top notch in my opinion, in fact probably one of the best steaks each of us has had eating out. Just wanted too share our experience in case other members have a LongHorn Steakhouse in their area or encounter one in their travels. LongHorn Steakhouse website shows they have of 400 hundred steakhouses in 35 different states.

Oh and if we have a eating out review section and I missed I apologize and hope a moderator can move this thread to that area... if we don't it might be a nice addition to this great site!

They are not bad... they just closed their store here in my town......

I've had mixed results with their steak .... sometimes great, sometimes not so great. It seems whenever they offer something for a limited time it is really good. I love their fresh bread, and the garlic mashed potatoes are fantastic.

I have eaten there and thought they were pretty good. There is something about eating a steak out that I really enjoy.

they have built several in our area portsmouth va. they must be good 'cause there is always a one hour wait...

Living in a tourist town ya can't even get in that joint here...Our local meat monger cut's us some fine steaks...so I prefer not to meddle with the tourists & grill at home...

I have eaten at a few Longhorns and overall pretty good steaks for the money. The last time was when I was passing through Billings Montana and I must say that I had a great meal and left very full.

That being said, I still prefer the steaks off of my grill over any steakhouse.

I might have to search one of those out. I was just telling my wife the other day that it is hard to find a reasonable priced "nice" steak place in Chicago.

To clarify, we have a lot of places like Texas Road house $15.00 steak cooked by a typical collage student, or the Mortons, Gibsons, Ditkas where the low end steaks cost $45.00 ala cart, add a potato for $8.00 and soup for $8.00...bread is usually free.

There is a place about an hour and a half away (Prime Quarter) that you can pick out any steak you want out of a reach in cooler cook it yourself for like 20.00 includes a nice soup and salad bar and bread, our you can throw in $2.00 they will cook it for you.
