Damn shame, but anyone trying to flog a single recipe for $19 doesn't have his head screwed on right anyway.

Right smoke smell in my workshop (dehydrated smoked ginger overnight lol) is reminding me that I've got some pancetta to process and some pics to post :-)

Now that sounds intriguing..

If you had an old bookmark (or Favorite) that pointed directly to one of the forum modules, it probably won't work. I noticed this yesterday. They have moved to a new server and new host (thank you tracert command). You need to try just the bare bones URL.

http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/

although that is not working as of the time of this post either.

Tough weekend for Brian, I imagine.

Dave, this is what is sez when you try that link

Server Default page

This page is generated by Parallels Plesk Panel - leading hosting automation control panel. You see this page because there is no Web site at this address.
What you can do:

• Create domains and set up Web hosting using Parallels Plesk Panel.
• Use Parallels Plesk Panel with Parallels Virtuozzo Containers and create isolated domains. Using a number of virtual servers with Parallels Plesk Panel on a single machine allows for flexible management of your server's resources.

LMAO

I saw that, too. I imagine that is the default Web page generated by the Web server software that they are using.

Looks like Brian still has some configuration work to do.

For what it's worth , he (Brian) said he had everything backed up before he went for the switch. what was lost is still lost but nothing else will vanish.
But being down this long , he must have some serious problems. I know some get a kick out of it, but I wouldn't wish a problem like that on anyone.

Nor would I. Being in the IT field myself, I know how it feels. It's amazing how quickly one can go from being hero to ahole. When someone asks me how long I think it will take to fix something or do a project , I usually estimate 3 times what I think it will take. No one ever complains if you finish it early.

I know he planned on having it up and running Friday night so being that it is still down must mean something went very wrong. And knowing that several hundred people are waiting on you can't be much fun either. Especially when you are doing it for free.

and THATS the sad part about it.........Jeff makes the money, but won't pass it along to anyone that REALLY helps him.
