awesome build. I love the wooden handle, reminds me of drift wood. I am betting it will not take much to get her to smoking temps.
I believe it is called pickleing when you oxidize a metal so it will not react with a product that will be stored are traveled thru it.

Thanks everybody, the handle is made from cedar, I've got ton's of cedar trees around, found a good size branch, the price was right.
