Decided to make some chili today and do it totally outside. The female unit didn't argue and she likes it when she's not needed for any cleanup.
Got some veggies sweating in the pot, and hit the kettle with some ground chuck, 2 kinds of homemade sausage, and a small ribsteak. Not much of a step-by-step, hell we've all made chili before. Chopped up the smoked meat and added everything else. Simmered for about 3 hours. It was kinda neat doing it all outside, and the weather was cooperating.
