  • Brisket On The Smokefire EX6

Did a 20 lb select brisket yesterday. Smoked at 230F for 13 hours, spritzing occasionally with apple juice and mango mead. Wrapped at 165, done at 204. My wife doesn't care for brisket but that girl loves a brisket done on this EX6.

7 Foot X 20" Pipe BBQ pit with offset firebox
    Weber EX6 Smokefire
    Masterbuilt 40" Sportsman Elite gasser
    90 Qt LOCO Crawfish Cooker
Everything else burned up in my house fire

Yeah that smoke ring caught my eye as well. "SELECT" Huh? How'd it hold up taste wise, etc?

A select brisket is great if cooked properly.
A choice or prime just gives you a little more room for error.

That's a pretty hunk of beef.

I did a prime from HEB last week. A little too oily for me, although it was tasty.

Only times I have done prime is at comps. And I wasn't paying for it
