The bride went and bought pork loin and pork ribs. Placed on the cg about 11 am, 4 1/2 hours later, moist with good bark. I seasoned with paprika,bgp,n'orleans cajun seasoning,red pepper-seasoned salt,evoo, on the ribs. The loin got cgb,season-all,paprika,and evoo. Mopped with brown and white sugar,apple juice,water,and evoo. sorry no camera(daughter has with her) Knowledge from this site made this possible thanks to all the posted that make the site topps in my book!!!!! Altho there is decided health bennies to using OO, clarified butter in those mops adds a nice dimention to the flavor, especially on the loin. I don't use any oils in my rib mop typically... plenty of fat rendering out there.
Thanks for the info Rich the rib was mopped only 3-4 times .the loin was mopped 3 times first three hours then every 30 min there after. Frointer lump charcial did good 5 hours @ 230 d ,next smoke will be be with RO lump. Dwayne
