    I saw a recipe for brine on here a few weeks ago. I used it and it was good. can someone post a link to a good brine recipe. thanks.

    here is a brine I hijacked from another thread....good luck!!

    I have used Tip's Slaughterhouse brine many times it is also a winner.

    Slaughterhouse Poultry Brine By Tip Piper of Hillbilly Vittles
    1 ½ Gal Water
    ½ C Salt - Kosher
    ½ C Dark Brown Sugar
    2 tsp Garlic Powder
    2 tsp Onion Powder
    2 tsp Cajun Spice (Louisiana Cajun Seasoning)
    2 tsp Celery Seed

    Slaughterhouse Poultry Injection
    ½ Pkg Good Seasons Italian Dressing
    2 tsp Garlic Powder
    2 tsp Celery Seed
    2 TBS melted Butter (non salted)
    2 C Apple Cider

    Slaughterhouse Spritz (Good fer everthin!)
    8 oz Apple Cider
    6 oz Water
    4 oz Whiskey
    2 oz Cider Vinegar

      Seriously, the Mad Hunky poultry brine is excellent. I use that & sometimes add to it to adjust the flavor profile.

        Likely that was the brine... and like I suggested...if you want a more traditional flavor profile, drop the creole/cajun seasoning and use rosemary thyme and some sage... a tablespoon to 2 of each R and T, 1 of sage.

          That was the one Thanks. And I'm going to buy some MH seasonings after Christmas. The way everybody loves this stuff I gotta try it.

              This is the brine I used (based on Alton Brown)

              1 cup kosher salt
              1/2 cup light brown sugar
              1 gallon vegetable stock
              1 tablespoon black peppercorns
              1 1/2 teaspoons allspice berries
              1 1/2 teaspoons chopped candied ginger
              1 gallon heavily iced water

                Been on Tip's Slaughterhouse for our bird! We like it & jack in different things...don't ask, what I did to it... Was kinda pi$$ed at a customer & started throwing stuff in it...customer did call back & apologize...not my dang broke airplane....
