  • turkey breast ?

Looking for a turkey breast that has not been processed with sugars, vinegar, salt, & whatever else they use.
Everyone I have found have had something like that listed on the package.
Can you even buy one without the above mentioned ingredients in a grocery store?

Might just have to go out and whack one...

You might try Halal. Wait..do they have poultry like that? Heck..I dunno.

I get fresh turkey, but it’s hard to find if it’s not the holidays.

Don't know what you think about his but in the past when I didn't buy a natural turkey for Thanksgiving, I'd look at the packaging and try and buy one that was packed most closely in water or as close as I could find. That can be difficult.

However, what I did do was soak that bird in water for 2-3 days and change the water every 8-12 hours depending on time available. You can then go on to brine it or just go natural.

I know it's not just breast but perhaps it's something to consider .

Costco carries an organic turkey breast. You can also try trader joe's and whole foods.

I also took a chance and googled this "farm raised organic turkey breast near me"

        And found this -

        https://www.jlgreenfarm.com/topic/pastured-turkey

An organic farm with pasture raised on GMO free turkeys about 3 hours from me that is interesting.

I buy them whole (turkeys) just after the holidays, butcher and freeze the parts. Usually get them $.60lb.

No pun intended but finding them that are natural and no additives is like looking for hens teeth..

I'm not much of a turkey fan, so I stay away from it. And like TH sez, "...finding them that are natural and no additives is like looking for hens teeth.. "

Thanks to everyone who replied to this thread. I did the suggested google & came up with a turkey farm about 30 miles from me that has fresh turkeys & breasts year round. The also sell smoked turkeys & breasts. I emailed them & they told me they do not inject with anything. They also do not brine them unless they smoke them. I am going to try brining & smoking one for Easter.
