  • Western dressing

I like Western dressing and have been tossing around the idea of making a sauce out of it. I have thought that I would cut it with some cider vinegar. Might try to add a little brown sugar but doent want it too sweet, also might add some heinz 57 honey blend. Has anybody got a recipie for a Western dressing sauces? It just sounds like it would be good on chicken, pork or beef. I googled Western dressing but didnt come up with much. Looking for some help, any ideas?

We have a pheasant recipe that uses that sauce....

1 bottle Western Dressing (the 16oz)
1 packet French Onion Soup mix
        1 can Jellied Cranberry Sauce

        - I usually add this and my frozen pheasant breasts into the crockpot. Cook on low 4-6 hrs until the pheasant is done. Serve over brown rice. Makes a very good sauce.

Its like french or Catalina dressing but not as sweet. Might try it out on some chicken thighs.
