  • Mango Honey Glaze

Here's a little something I've been experimenting with over the past month or so... I think it's finally there. This is awesome on chicken, but could be used on anything.

    Mango Honey Glaze

    1 cup mango nectar
1/4 cup honey (orange blossom if you can find it)
    1 tbs dijon mustard
    1 tbs onion powder
    1 tbs minced garlic
    1 tbs ground cumin
    1 tbs ground black pepper
    1 tsp ground ginger
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
    1/2 tsp thyme
    1/2 tsp fresh ground nutmeg
    a pinch of ground clove

Pour ingredients into a small sauce pan over medium heat. Whisk ingredients together thoroughly as mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat, cover and let cool.

Ya' may want to adjust the spices to your taste... this is pretty spicy. I can't feed it to my grandkids...

is mango nectar mango juice ?
Or somthing like a mango smoothie ?

Looking at the recipe I like it.
Also it'd use my smoked oinion powder and my smoked ginger powder (smoked wet, dehydrated and ground).

Looks good. Definitely something I'll be trying at some point.
Might even be a good rib marinade :-)

Mango nectar is the juice from the fruit, not watered down, so it is kind of syrup-ish... Good stuff!

                        Glad you like the recipe!
