Ranch dipping

Does anyone have a good recipe for ranch wings, cheese fries, anything to dip. When I go to restaurant the ranch they serve is better that anything I can find. Every ranch in bottle I try tastes like crap. Closes i found is hidden valley pack mix.

You are on the right track to what the restaurants use.. Make sure it is the buttermilk ranch packet you use and follow directions and place in fridge for a day before using covered.. You may want to back off the buttermilk a tad to have a thicker dipping sauce..

Louie does that gig & uzzes sour cream...not sure amount...best is i ain't fed with a slingshot....

Some friends of mine make it occasionally and it's great. They said the trick is to use twice the seasoning amount that it calls for.

In dip form anyway, never tried coating anything with it though

If I have a croud coming over I make this:

Creamy gorganzola sauce
1/2 c mayonaise or low fat mayonaise (not mracle whip)
1/2 c low fat sour cream. no fat has too much sugar.
2 Tbsp white wine vinegar
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 c crumbled gorgonzola cheese
pinch of salt (optional)

Let rest 24 hours in frig.

I know it is not ranch but it is a mild blue cheese type dip... if just me I find the refrigerated dressings are good for wings!
