  • Cream Cheese and Onion Stuffed Sausage Balls

So needed to bring something to the New Years Eve Party last night so put together some Cream Cheese and Onion Stuffed Sausage Balls!

Thanks 1Cav for the cream cheese mixture of cream cheese, pineapple, onion, and green onion and mix together! This is a great spread all by itself as well!!

Next time to mix up the sausage. Took some country style sausage and to it added the following: MH rub, Worsy, Tiger Sauce, Garlic, Seasoned Bread Crumb, egg white and CBP.

Mixed all up and made a patty and then a dollop of the Cream Cheese mixture..

Sealed up and repeated about 18 times and gave a nice dusting of the MH on top! Not sure where the pics went of them cooking... Put them on the smoker using Hickory at 245*

about an hour and a half in gave them a brushing of 50/50 Blues Hog/Blues Hog Tenn Red. Let them cook for about another 1/2 hour and gave one more brushing and let glaze over for about 15 minutes and pulled at 165* internal temp.

Here is a shot of one of the Sausage Balls.

    Cut open:

Oh these were very good. Got rave reviews from those at the party! Kept saying how did you make those... I say they were smoked... oh that is what it is! Have a Happy New Year!!
