  • Wild Rice and Mushroom Brats

Ok, this one isn't quite so crazy. Been wanting to make these for a while. Used 5 lbs. of this brat mixture.

    http://www.smoked-meat.com/forum/sho...535#post406535

Added about 2 cups of cooked wild rice and about 4 or 5 oz. of mushrooms. (About half of an 8 oz. store bought package of sliced mushrooms) The fry test was awesome. Can't wait to throw these on the grill this summer.

Yep. I know others have a hard time getting it. If you hit the right place at the right time, it's cheap. I have about 10 pounds vac'd and stored.

Really dislike white rice. Won't say hate, but close. Wild rice is COMPLETELY different and love to use it in many dishes.

Need to ask a dumb question here. Do you run your mix of the rice and mushrooms through the grinder or do you mix and stuff as is?

The mushrooms and rice were added after grinding. Then stuffed.
