  • Crack chicken dip

I made this tonight for a light dinner, it would be great with leftover smoked chicken, or even done in the smoker.

    https://www.plainchicken.com/warm-cr...GB3-BlI3GwEU-k

I did a couple chicken breasts in the instant pot, makes them super easy to shred. Then 8 strips of bacon in the air fryer. Chopped up the bacon, shredded the chicken and then 16 oz sour cream, 8 oz cream cheese, a packet of ranch mix and two cups of cheddar cheese per the recipe all got mixed up in a bowl. I also added the sliced whites of half a bunch of green onions, that aren’t in the recipe. I sprayed an 8x8 baking dish with spray and spread out the dip, and finally topped with some of the sliced green onion tops.

Cooked in the oven until hot and bubbly. Served with sliced baguette, Fritos scoops and roasted garlic triskets.

Frickin amazing. Half of it was gone before I even had a chance to snap a pic. I know why they call it “crack” chicken, cause one bite and you’re hooked. As I said this would be really good with smoked chicken.

Looks wonderful but I have a hard time leaving recipes alone. I consider them suggestions most of the time. While looking at the recipe at the link posted I saw something red in the dip and it made me think some drained Rotel tomatoes might be great or if not Rotel then maybe some drained pimentos.

It looks like it was good since 80% of the dish is gone..

that looks like a 9x13 so I'd say closer to 66%

I'm with you. I added the green onions and honestly I wanted to add red pepper flakes or franks red hot or something for some heat, but then the kids wouldn't eat it. Rotel sounds like a good add!

It was an 8x8 so just a little over half

Buying what I need to make it today. I've had a Buffalo wing dip that's similar. It looks great. We took some of the Buffalo Wing dip and stuffed portabella caps with it. Probably try something like that with this. Thanks for sharing.

Bacon is cooking now. Chicken coming later. I'm debating if I make it straight or add a little Franks and make Buffalo Crack Chicken Dip.

If I hadn't had kids eating mine there definitely would have been some Franks in mine! I think it'd be a great addition.

Crack Chicken Dip with Franks hot sauce. Buffalo style. It's cooling now. It will go back in and finish tonight.
Thanks again. The taste test says it's great.
