  • Sous-Vide Steak

Two 1 inch steaks from wally world that where on sale. Not sure what cuts they where as they looked to be half of one thing and half of another thing

Anyways I sprinkled them down with some mesquite dry rub, and into a vac bag. Used 2 tablespoon full of worcestershire sauce along with a good size tab of butter in each bag. Seal them up and left in the fridge over night.
Got my homemade sous vide machine going for 12PM today. Used my homemade steak rack made from a coat hanger
Hey it don't have to look perty, just has to work and it did.

5 hours later they where done and dinner was almost ready. Had the gasser BBQ fired up with my grill grates turned upside down so I could sear those puppies. 1 minute each side and ready for the table. Baked potato's in the air fryer with sour cream and corn on the cob.
Saute mushrooms & sliced bell peppers in garlic butter for the top of each steak. It was a great start to our May long weekend here in Canada.
    Happy Victoria Day weekend

Another home brew machine, very cool! Interesting using the hotplate, did it have very much temp swing?

Really thought it would have been a Kokanee instead a a Busch.......

Once it settles in it is rock solid. I could fine tune it but it works so why why fix something that works.

Bush beer up here in Canada is discounted beer so I buy whats on sale. I usually drink Labatt Crystal beer.

I have been doing them at 400 F. For how long I am not totally sure. I think its around 20-25 minutes. I use a instant read thermo and when it reads 210 IT I know they are done. Nice and fluffy when you fork them up.

I am a man of many tastes Riche boy. I find the American Bush beer is crap compared to the Canadian Bush beer. Not sure what the percentage of alcohol is in the States, ours up here is 4.7%.
Today I am drinking my old standard "Cool Clear Lager Crystal Beer"

Probably a bit higher in alcohol I’d guess. It’s not like I’m gonna go find out.

I’d drink it if ya gave me one, because we all know the best beer is free beer!
