    Cool. I'll have to remember to do that when I get my Bandera. It will definitely help in the winter with temps.

      New Bandera Lid

      Had some spare time this past week-end and made a new lid for the Bandera to further reduce the size of the firebox and hopefully use less wood. Used 1" sq tube .062 wall & 1/4" plate. Frame tacked up.

      1/4" plate tacked to squared frame.

      Typical MIG weld using 75/25 on the gas mix. Keeps things much cleaner and better penetration.

      Inside stiched and I reused the hinges I got from KCK. A piece of ceramic fiber board will go in this week.

      Ready for action. Salvaged the handle from the old lid. That's one big ass warming plate
