    Spicy Red Beer

In a large frosted glass or mug put a 5.5 ounce can of tomato-vegetable juice cocktail, a dash of Louisiana-style hot sauce, a dash of Worcestershire sauce and a pinch of seasoning salt. Add a 12-ounce bottle or glass of your favorite beer and mix.

Great for "The Morning After" or just any time! I like it with a sizzling, hot off the grill, ribeye. Pretty good with breakfast too.

I remember my dad mixing up a concoction like that after a drinking night. I like tomato juice and beer too, not sure about the hot sauce, I'm a puss.

Haven’t had a red bear in ages. Used to use this stuff...it was really good for just such a heavy headed morning.

Not sure when they quit making it but rember it fondly from my (over)drinking days.

Think it was made by the Ortega chili company...used fire roasted chili's...yummm.

                          Re:

Those of us here in Ohio may remember Hudepohl 14-K who advertised a
breakfast Drink of the Cincinnati Red's recipe on their packaging. It was Hudy with tomato juice and some seasoning.

I hadn't thought about that in a long time. Dad used to make it and put a celery stick in it to stir it with.

Hudepohl 14-K Hudepohl Amber Lager and Hudepohl Delight were the official beers of the Reds I seem to remember and they are now back in business. (along with getting Burger and Burger light back in production)
