Ok this is my third attempt at making this post. I REALLY hate vbulletin......

Well I did make some modifications. I added 2 more stoves for a total of 3. It's better but it's going to need to be insulated as it's still not hot enough. Hottest I saw on the stone was in the rear and it got to 580 and about 500 at the front. Unfortunately it's going to have to be put on hold for a while, I'm starting a large remodel project that's going to take me about a year or so to complete. I'm not going to have much free time to lend to this project until the remodel is completed.

Anyway I did snap a couple pics of the modifications.

I had to cut the back off and make 2 more openings for the 2 additional stoves.

Also had to make a couple rocket stoves to attach to those newly created holes.

Got them welded in and ready to button it all back up. You'll notice that the two outside stoves attach at the lower plate that runs under the stone. This vents hot gas under the stone to help heat it up. The middle one still exits above and directly into the cook chamber.

This is what it looks like now all buttoned back up.

I also added a thermo to the front to see what exhaust air temps are.

After all that was done I fired it up for another test run. It ran hotter but it was also cold and very windy with temps barely at 50 outside. I threw a welding blanket over it and managed to see thermo temps over 900 deg. But it's still losing too much heat to work effectively. Once I have more time I'll come back to this and get it going again.
