    Krups Model 402 Butcher Shop
I guess I got carried away with this dissertation, but this happens when I am excited about something. Please forgive me, but I hope you have the patience to navigate the essay.

    Features all metal drive system
Processes 2-1/2 lbs of meat in 1 minute
I did 2 lbs through once is that time. Motor slows a little, but doesn't get warm like my Kitchenaid grinder. I didn't have any jamming at the plate.
With the Kitchenaid, I had to purchase the sausage stuffer seperately. The Kitchenaid stuffing assembly includes a bar to replace the cutter blade.
The Krups has an all metal all metal housing for the grinder. The shredder is a plastic housing

    Includes:
    Carbide Blade (had to sharpen)
1 ea 1/8" cutting disk (had to sharpen)
1 ea 5/32 cutting disk (had to sharpen)
1 ea Sausage Cone (uses the blade as part of the assembly)
1 ea Hamburger mold (I've never used it so I don't know how well this works).
    3 ea Slicing/Shredding Drums
1 Ice Crusher Drum (I've never used it so I don't know how well this works).
Pastry shaper (I've never used it so I don't know how well this works).

I normally mount the machine on an elevated support and discharge into a regular mixing bowl. My other half made a great suggestion today. She said, "Why don't you use a rimmed pizza pan". I tried it and it was nice to stuff it from above, without the high support under the grinder base. I should have thought of this before. Next time I am going to try a little deeper container. At least 3 inches. This elevates the machine a little higher so the pan can slip under the base so it can be rotated well away from the rim. Hmmm, this would work with the pizza pan, too, come to think of it. I can't wait for the next opportunity. This opens up a new world of possibilities I hadn't really thought about before and was the reason I bought the Kitchenaid attachments in the first place. With the Kitchenaid grinder I still have to feed from high up, although it has a very stable base.
The Krups is no longer in production, but I haven't checked lately. Some spares are still available, but last I looked, the knife for the grinder was not. I thought I had lost mine and was in a funk until I found it in the box
They get lousy reviews because none of the edges are sharpened. Mine came this way. I couldn't grind anything. I noticed the cutter blade was dull, but not chipped. I took a piece of adhesive backed carborundum and attached it to my table saw's precision ground top and lapped the blade in. It took a while because the blade is silver soldered carbide. It hasn't needed another sharpening since. I haven't kept track of the amount of meat I've run through it, but I would think it's conservatively over 75 lbs over the time I've had it. Still sharp! My manual grinder’s blades (I have two) were sharpened every year in the years before I purchased the Krups. They are gathering dust in the basement.
I also used a jeweler’s half round file and sharpened the shredder blades while watching TV. The edges can be tested with the end of your finger nails since the rolled edges are proud of the formed blades. There were a lot of them on the smallest shredder! Now the smallest shredder does a beautiful job shredding parmesan cheese. The medium races through mozzarella cheese and onions.
There is also an ice crusher and lettuce shredder, but I've never used them.
After doing the sharpening I can unequivocally give it 5 stars(*****) using it the attachments I’ve used so far.
