I could eat so much of that I'd be incapable of standing up
serious food
love this bit:
IF only I could lol - either find one or afford it if I could :-)
Bought some 21 count shrimp monday - the stuffed shrmp is definitely on
Did not realize you all did not have lobsters over there.. they seem to be pretty available around here this year! 12.99 per pound.. that one cost 19.50... a bit pricey but sometimes you have to have it! Wish I could get them like Hoser... he has a whole grill full of them sometimes... I read last 4th of July they were going for 4.99 a pound in the North East! that is cheaper than lunch meat!

Thanks Rob... one would think this would be just as good with those big ol rock crabs you all have there!
We have Red Rock crabs but we also have the Dungeness crabs which are by far my favorite of all. The meat is sweeter and richer. Not good for my gout but I will risk a meal every now and then.
Yea we don't have lobster either but we have painted Crays over west and spiny Crays over the east and NZ.
They are bloody expensive though about 60 bucks a kg on a good day.
NZ also has pack horse Crays that grow in excess of 25 kg

Mary had a little lamb her father shot it dead, now it goes to school with her between two lumps of bread
they have lobsters on the coast - I live smack damn in the middle of the country - as far from the coast as you can get. Okay it's only about 3 hours drive - but in that three hours the lobsters shrink to an average weight of about 10oz, get boiled to death and cost the same per gram as platinum dust.
So I usually just use the big costco shrimp. This week only £10.99 a kg - the new harvest must be in, last month they were nearer £16 a kg.
So the stuffed shrimp are a must do - find me a tin of crab meat and I should be good to go :-)
Lang 36 Patio, a few Webers, 2 Eggs, plenty of gadgets and a MES 40 Gen 2.5 electric for bacon and sausage.
My best asset however is the inspiration from the members on this forum.
Alex, can you get frozen Langostinos ? I have used them in lieu of lobster in some recipes and it worked out well. I can get a 12 oz bag for about six dollars.
