  • Anyone ever try Lava Jack HT Cheese?

    I noticed Butcher packer now sells a lava Jack High Temp Cheese. I only know that is is hotter than Pepper jack. I obviously had to buy some and since I cant use it for a few days.... just wondering if anyone has tried it yet and what you thought of it?

    Im hoping its not so hot that I crap fire If I use the same ratio (1# per 10# sausage) i have with other cheeses.

    Soo, defrost an Lb of breakfast and add 1.6 Oz and check it oooout :{)

      I have tried a similar cheese and it's Great. Much hotter than pepperjack. It's more like pepper with cheese than chees with pepper if that makes sense. Personally, I love it but it's not for everyone.

      The hard part will be to try and figure out the amount of heat you want. My advice would be to stick with pepper jack and then add in some spices for heat that you can control.

      If I had to think of a good spice for heat off the top of my head that works around here, contact Rich and get some Smitty's.

      Then, once you get it dialed in, send me a sample and I can test it for you
