  • Whole eye of round??

3.99# for whole eye of round.

I'm not familiar with this cut and not sure if this is a deal.

    Thoughts?

It can be pretty tough. I have had the most success cooking it low and slow to 135°F or so and slicing ultra thin for sandwiches.

It is just a cut of meat I don't use that often so even at 3.99/lb and Angus unless I had a plan for it I wouldn't buy.

    That is just my .02

Great jerky meat. And I like corning them then slow cook later.

MooJus for a roast. Brine for 24 hours, and still slice on the thin side.

        Or jerky.

Yes. 24 hours @ 135ish, seasoned with the moo, then SnP before the sear on the Weber. And yes, slice it thin... yum! Juicy and tender...

Sale price is what I spend on them here. Buy them all the time. Dried smoked beef for sandwiches. This Friday one will go in the brine for corned beef on saint patty day.
