Just another thing. Like ALX said; it does grow like a weed. It comes up from seed like crazy from the previous years seed heads as does my basil.

          Hope this helps..

I let the soil warm up a bit here....I plant late may/early june....Does great in my heat with full sun....I have all i can handle by august.....mine will start getting seed pods by mid-late september....

Bad picture, but it is this size by early august..then it gets 2-3 feet tall and seeds....Basil is in the back

I let the buterflies lay eggs in it and the larvae eat the tops/seeds and make little butterflies for next year

see, thats the bad thing about growing it od. Feast or famine, and not a real good way to preserve that bite. you can freeze it, but i feel that degrades the bite.
