  • Big Mac burger salad

Mi madre saw this on Rachel and requested it...so for dinner last night cooked up 3 big cheeseburgers and placed them over top of a slice of lettuce then topped with burger pickles, A home version of McD's special sauce, some diced onion. These were very good! Will be doing more fork and knife burgers!

Heck yeah I could eat that...

I sometimes cook burgers and top them with homemade salsa...A bed of lettuce would be great with that...

I HAVE to try this, I actually enjoy a Big Mac about once a year.

        That looks fantastic Shell.

I had to look twice. When you said slice of lettuce I thought you meant one leaf. A slice looks great.

Care to share the special sauce recipe? I assume miracle whip, ketchup, relish and??????

Here is the recipe I copycatted...

                1/2 c mayo (I use Miracle Whip)
                2 Tbsp of French dressing
                4 tsp sweet pickle relish
1 Tbsp finely minced white onion
                1 tsp white vinegar
                1 tsp of sugar
                1/8 tsp of salt

Now, I didn't have any French dressing so I used ketchup...I more than doubled it. There is also a you tube video out there where an executive chef from McDonalds reveals the secret sauce recipe. No measurements are given but you can guesstimate them by the amounts he shows. His called for some paprika. I only had a hot and a smoked. I added the smoked but I don't I would do that next time. The recipe above was good and close to what I remember the sauce tasting like...

Looks great and I might have to give that sauce a try.

It's been forever since I've eaten at McDonald's, I kinda forgot

Cool! love the big mac sauce, but can't stand McDonalds food. My kids however love it.

I'm definitely going to give this a shot next time I make burgers.

Looks fantastic if you ask me. I showed my sister this since she can't eat grains or processed sugar anymore.

Oh and for those who need a big mac sauce....
