Yea - but I'd go the AMNPS route with the Bradley. Save money.

Posted a "wanted" in the classifieds, just in case someone here had one to sell:

I am no way near the experienced smoker some of you guys are. I have had two smokers - a propane MasterBuilt that I used for a little more than a year and then sold since I found it hard to maintain the proper temp and my MES30. The 30 works and I have had no issue with it. But then, I am a little anal retentive. I wipe it down, close it up. Put foil over the back drip hole to keep insects out. I wipe the exterior and put a cover over it.

It lives on my covered patio here in the DFW area where we have ice and snow in the winter too. Works like a little champ. I have 4 racks of BB's in today (pics coming later on).

        So far, so good.

          - Masterbuilt New Gen 40"...a LOT of temp variance on all racks (not good)
          - the Amazen works on ALL of these (very good :)
          - the Bradley is 500-watt, but the Smokin' It is only 350-watt (surprised by that)

So far, the Bradley seems the best fit. Being able to use the AMNPS in it will save a lot on the pucks. May need to bump budget and get the 6-rack tho.

I really wish the MES was a more stable unit. Just seems to be hit-or-miss with buyers. I don't want to ruin my food in finding out which mine is :(. Bradley's seems to be more consistent in the temps.
I have the "Master Forge" from Lowes...don't go there for too many reasons!

Maybe that's why mine works like a champ too----My Son says I'm "Anal" too, because I take care of my MES 40.

Nothing wrong with being a little careful with the equipment. Heck thats why my old Q45 lasted me 191K miles! BTW: BB ribs came out of the MES30 today - PERFECT. 4 hours at 230 - no basting, squirting or foiling. <burp> They-R-delicious.

Do not buy the Bradley !!! I paid over 400 for mine and it no longer works.. Stopped getting hot, door broke of the hinges, heat controller slide frame has broke, plug in the back broke off, and the puck advancer button get stuck in the pushed in position always advancing the pucks.. Only 2 years old with less than two dozens smokes. Garage kept and covered... Very cheaply made.. Customer service stinks .. When I let them know off my issues they emailed the number to buy replacement parts... This is a cheep price of junk. If I had it to do over again I would buy the smokin-it model #2. That's what I will be saving my money for..
This Bradley piece of junk is headed to the curb....

I'll never buy a MES again. I had the 40" with the window. I see no need for the window, just something else to keep clean, plus mine leaked around the window. I spent too much time and money trying to repair it. Never again.

Hmmm.. Apparently someone really dislikes Bradly Smokers.. Bashing a manufacture of a smoker is NOT exactly what I had hope for from any new memebers first post since it is in a PM and the verification email to PLEASE post your first post in the new members area so we get a to know you a bit better..
