And here is the smoke management system (not 100% finished) which will be hooked up to the generator.

The major components are hooked up.

The smoke management system does these:

A - creosote accumulator. The smoke will be very cold passing thru the brass flex tube and some creosote will condense and drip in the accumulator.

B - smoke blower. A high quality DC motor is controlled by a PWM speed control to blow smoke into the smoker.

C - Smoke evacuator. A high speed blower is used to clear all smoke inside the smoker to outside of the house.

D - A modified valve to switch the paths of the smoke blower and smoke evacuator.

E - A smoke monitor port to view smoke density without having to open the smoker.

I am now making a LED light for the viewing port to make the smoke very visible.

      -----------------------

I know this is a very different smoker than the ones your guys built, but I can't think of a way to smoke indoors. Comments?

Building the LED light for the smoke viewing port (E). One watt LED with custom fit heat sink.

Electronics for the optical smoke density monitor. I may not be using it. In the testing of the system, the smoke generator seems to be very controllable and steady in output.

Installed the smoke viewing port with LED light to make smoke visible from the cold smoke generator to the smoker. There is no need to open the smoker to check.

          With medium smoke

Thanks! Cool it is, because it is also an operational refrigerator.

True it's work putting it together, but it seems much less work than welding one of those massive smoke-all steel masterpieces.

I am happy with it that I don't have to go outside thru the snow in the winter to smoke, and I can cold smoke anything in the hottest days in the summer.
