    Hello there, I'm from California but have been living in Japan for almost 2 decades. BBQing is very popular out here, but smoking is another story. They do small scale smoke boxes for fish, but you won't find anyone doing low n slow big meats.

    So yeah, I finally got me a proper barrel grill from Costco last summer, and now I'm the most popular dude in the neighborhood.

    Looking forward to learning new tricks from this forum, and sharing my ideas and cooks as well.

      Here's a FREE Download of a lot of my Step by Steps.
      They're all done on an MES smoker, but you can do about any of them on any smoker that you can control the temp with.

                  from New Jersey. Perhaps you can start a new fad where you are.
                  Lang 36 Patio, a few Webers, 2 Eggs, plenty of gadgets and a MES 40 Gen 2.5 electric for bacon and sausage.
                  My best asset however is the inspiration from the members on this forum.
