  • Pulled Pork Chili WITH BEANS

Had some left over G'Pa Herb's herbs pulled pork, had a hankering for some chili, and this is the outcome...used 4 types of beans in this one.

My chili always has beans, and always will.

Interesting! I've done that with pulled chuckies - how was it with pork?

My wife didn't say a word or even look up until her bowl was empty...then she said, "words can not describe this"... So I guess it was pretty good. I thought it was awesome!

Ok, so I started to chime on the other thread (tasunka) but didn't want to hijack it. Here's the deal. Most folks think that if they throw something spicy into some soup it magically becomes chili. I recently watched one of those cooking shows where three top chefs cooked chili. One of them was Okra chili...Really? Okra??? Now I'm sure it was delicious and I would gladly eat some and enjoy it, but it ain't chili.

What I see there looks like a really delicious Pork and Bean Soup. I would love some. But don't call it chili.

It's sort of like those folks that call a burger cooked on a gas grill barbeque. Nope. Delicious. I will eat it, but it ain't barbeque.

Just my 2¢ worth. I'm done now .

DEFINITION - Chili is a stew-like soup made entirely with meat, chiles, or chili powder (or both) and according to what region of the United States that you live in, it can also include beans. "Con carne" means "with meat."

Yep.. Around here chile is ground beef with kidney beans, chili powder..etc
Another place I lived it was pinto beans chunks of meat, chiles, crushed tomatoes..etc.

Friend did chile cook offs. No Beans At All

                      Take your pick

I wonder what it would be like if one were to grind the pulled pork and include it in the mix.
I will try that next but I smoke.
