After lunch. Man's gotta eat ya know. Left over chuck steak can't go to waste. That be ten years bad luck. That's the last thing I need after this last year.

Lookin good...Curious to see how the fruit plays into this...
The peaches are for dessert and snacks. They are stuffed with guava paste and laced with cinnamon. The grapefruit halves are a bust this time. Must use indirect heat. Those were from the juicer. Dried citrus pulp is a treat few know of. I used to pick it out of my steers feed as a kid and eat while he did. As the peaches get done on the fire ring I'll take them up along with the apples stuffed with butter and cinnamon. They always turn out very good. I put three Granny Smith apples on after this pic was taken. I'll post the whole grill full before taking anything up.

Looks great. How long do you smoke the peaches and apples / know when they are done? I would love to try this.
I just check them for tenderness. Time varies with temp. Best done indirect. Guava jelly works great too. Apples will pass the toothpick test like a sweet potato. I've never put guava jelly in an apple but that is next. Here is the fully loaded grill at about 6 hours.

Eight hours for the butt. Time to take up the fruit.
