  • Maverick Et-73 VS ET-732

Maverick Et-73 is around 33 bucks and the ET-732 is around 60 dollars

I dont need the latest and greatest

So if I spend the extra 27 bucks for thew ET-732 what real benefit do I get

or can I get away with the older model ET-73

    Thanks

    Dave

I got the 73 not realizing there was a 732. My property is 300' x 300'. The 73 is good for 100'. the 732 is good for 300' The 73 would always loose signal if I went in the house or out to the barn or got on the mower. The 732 never looses signal. On big smokes with more than 1 pit going I will use both and stay close. It all works out.

        I started with a 73.
Due to the 73 not being able to get through my front wall from my living room to my front porch, I got a 732, and demoted my 73 to basement curing fridge duty. it still has problems getting through the floor from the first floor to the basement.
I wanted a second one for my smoker, so I got a second 732, so the probes are all interchangeable on those 2.
I didn't get the 733, because they look like a PITA to program them. All I want is a Therm--No alarms, no other BS.

Sometimes I lose contact with my 732, because the Damn front door is All Steel, and right between my Smoker & my Recliner.

Most important differences in an ET-73 vs ET-732 is reception quality/distance and single vs dual probe capability. We carry the ET-732, ET-733 and ET-735 at Owens BBQ and offer a shaker of Tatonka Dust seasoning with the purchase of any of these thermometers. I agree that the 73 sucks when it comes to transmission...
I cant get a signal inside my house due to the thick ol plaster walls...That's fine with me cause I just go out and maintain the fire anyway...
